I graduated from Brunel University in 2021 after completing a four year degree with a professional placement.
Having undertaken my placement year at OGR Stock Denton in both the Family and Company and Commercial departments, I was eager to return to the firm as part of my training alongside my studies for the Solicitors Qualifying Exam. I now assist the department on a range of matters including divorce and financial remedy proceedings, as well as children matters, cohabitation and nuptial agreements.
After working in two contrasting areas of law during my placement year, I decided to return to the Family department as I thoroughly enjoyed working with the team and the type of work undertaken. Working closely with clients to provide support and assistance, often during times of conflict within the family, to work towards resolution is extremely rewarding.
Extra Information
Throughout my time at university, I was an active member of the Brunel Law Society, participating in mooting and debating competitions to a high level and the Law School’s pro bono clinic.
I was successful in securing a summer placement at Rosario Universidad in Bogota, Colombia which involved professional and legal development at the prestigious Law and Business school.
During my final year, I wrote my dissertation on cohabitation rights and the ‘common law marriage myth’ which was heavily influenced by my time spent at the firm and working alongside Graeme.
In my spare time I enjoy hiking, cooking and socialising with friends.
