OGR Stock Denton is committed to providing the best training environment for our trainees to thrive. We accept one successful applicant each year, meaning we will always have two trainees at any given stage.
You can access the training programme application form here and this must be accompanied by a relevant cover letter and your CV. The application form questions are the same for all applicants. Applicants can only apply once to OGR Stock Denton in any 12-month period.
We are accepting applications for the following year’s training programme up to and including 30 May in the preceding year (i.e. for a September 2018 training contract commencement, we would need to be in receipt of your completed application form and cover letter by 30 May 2017.)
Successful applicants will be invited for a one-stage assessment day (usually in July) and those who are successful from the assessment day will be invited for a final interview with two partners and the Practice Manager. Offers will be made to successful applicants by the end of August.
Candidates must ensure they will have completed the LPC before commencement of the training contract. The application form will ask you to confirm that you have successfully completed the LPC or have a confirmed place on the course.
We do not offer any funding or sponsorship for the GDL or LPC.
An ideal candidate would those that have a strong academic background, and have achieved at least a 2:1. Applications are welcomed from legal and non-legal graduates.
A trainee will need to demonstrate commercial awareness, motivation and enthusiasm. You will need to show excellent communication skills with the ability to be a creative and proactive problem solver. A successful candidate will need to be a team player with a sense of humour as these are considered to be vital ingredients for an OGR Stock Denton trainee.
