The London YPG continues to grow

On the evening of 5 October, 2017 the London Young Professionals Group (YPG) of the British Swiss Chamber of Commerce was once again welcomed by the Victorinox team at their London flagship store to hear about their latest product lines. Victorinox were,  as always,  great hosts entertaining an audience of over 80 people with wine, beers and canapes.

A surprise guest at the evening was Ambassador Alexandre Fasel the new Swiss Ambassador to the UK who was accompanied by his wife.  Ambassador Fasel really embraced the spirit of the occasion and agreed to make the prize draws provided by our host and SurfAir.  One lucky winner won a superb Victorinox travel bag and Cedar-Xue Luo a student at the University of London won return flights to Zurich courtesy of SurfAir.

Simon Talling-Smith, SurfAir’s CEO, explained to the audience the company’s ambitions to be the ‘NetFlix of the skies’ and how their private jet subscription service could provide a great alternative to frequent business travellers – and with specific reference to BSCC members – noted that SurfAir has recently started flying 5 days a week to Zurich (and will soon be flying to Geneva too).

Isabelle Fatton, co-chair of the London YPG Committee, said: “We are delighted that Victorinox were so willing to welcome the London YPG back and to SurfAir for their contribution to the event’s success. The London YPG continues to grow and has proven to offer the British-Swiss community an ideal networking forum.”
